HYPERTECH Energy Labs' active involvement in the research towards an holistic approach of building energy performance incorporating business processes and occupancy modelling, continues with the participation in the 1st VoCamp on Energy Efficiency Modeling in Buildings held in Thessaloniki, Greece on 15-16th of November 2012.

The Vocabulary Camp focuses on the delivery of ontologies that can be used for the analysis of the Building Performance in terms of its Energy Efficiency. Focus is given to domains, in which vocabularies and ontologies used are not mature yet. The ultimate goal is to deliver or enrich existing ontologies that can be used in various stages of the Building Lifecycle and especially on the early design stages. The 1st VoCamp addresses both Simulation & Management systems and ontologies will be created for multiple factors that contribute to the Energy Consumption in Buildings, having as main catalyst the human behavior and presence (building occupants).
