Following the successful implementation of the digital public library of historical school textbooks used in the educational process from the 19th century till the early 1980s for the Greek Institute of Educational Policy, HYPERTECH, along with TREK Consulting, were invited to make a keynote presentation in the “The Role of Digitization of textbooks and curricula in our Educational Heritage” conference, co-organized by the Institute of Educational Policy and the Eugenides Foundation.
The event took place in the Eugenides Foundation main conference hall in Athens, Greece on March 1st, 2016, with the presence of project stakeholders and representatives of institutions and organizations related to school textbooks and education. All participants expressed the great importance of the performed digitization and scientific documentation process for the educational and scientific community but also for the general public.
The digital library, which will act as the main repository of the Greek historical school textbooks, is now publicly available at the following address: http://elibrary.iep.edu.gr/
